State Representative Patricia Harless of Spring, has been serving the residents of District 126 since first being elected in 2006.

She serves on Technology, Economic Development and Workforce Committee, the Committee on State Affairs, and the Redistricting Committee. The Technology, Economic Development, and Workforce Committee is a newly formed committee that has jurisdiction over the state's technology and science innovations, workforce issues, and economic development. The State Affairs Committee oversees a wide variety of issues including utility regulation, immigration reforms, administration of state government, regulation of pipelines and pipeline companies, and matters of state policy. The Redistricting Committee has jurisdiction over changes to House and Senate legislative districts, Congressional districts and establishing districts for the election of judicial officers or of governing bodies or representatives of political subdivisions or state agencies as the law requires.

Representative Harless has a strong commitment to the Republican Party. An active member of Northwest Forest Republican Women, Texas Tea Republicans, Cyfair Republican Women and Texas Federation of Republican Women, she has worked at the grassroots and finance committee level for several local, state, and national campaigns. She was appointed by then Governor George W. Bush and re-appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the Texas Motor Vehicle Board (1998-2005).

As an active civic and charity leader in the community, Representative Harless is past president of the American Heart Association, NW Harris County Division and a past board member of Lone Star College Foundation. She is also a lifetime member of both the 100 Club of Houston and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, as well as a member of the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce and the Heights Chamber of Commerce. A fourth generation Texan, Patricia has deep roots in the community as an active small business and civic leader. Her mother and father started a family automobile dealership in 1959 and Harless joined the business in 1984 as Chief Financial Officer where she integrated, reorganized, balanced and controlled assets to achieve profitability. She purchased the family business after her father's death in 1996 and is the current owner of Fred Fincher Motors in Houston.

Representative Harless was born in Houston Texas where she attended Spring ISD and Candlestick Christian Academy. She received a BS in Business Management from LeTourneau University. Patricia lives in District 126 with her husband of 25 years, Sam Harless and her 21-year-old son, Samuel Justin. They are active members of Champion Forest Baptist Church.
